Courage
Login to wikispaces using username-timberlinewikis then password-mr.lassen
You should see a list of wikis. Click on your class period.
Click on Pages and Files then New Page. Use your first name as the name of your wiki page. Add a first initial of your last name if there is more than one person with the same first name.
Now you are ready to add content to your wiki page. Think about a person who demonstrated courage. You can use your creativity, but be sure to include:
1.Your definition of courage (in your own words) and an explanation of why this person showed courage
2.Media- several pictures (4 or more) with short captions and embed a video
3.Works cited page to show sources for all your photos, info, etc. Use easybib.
4.Reflection and evaluation
This is your “so what?” and grade yourself page. What did you learn? Why is it important? How can you apply this to your life? etc. Then evaluate how you did on your project. Discuss the process. Did you use your time well? Did you find good sites and resources quickly or did it take a long time? Lastly give yourself a grade and explain why you earned it. Mr. Lassen will also assign questions that relate to your reading. You will answer those on your wiki page.
For an incomplete example of the assignment see timberlinelib. Here are some Student examples Jallyade, Kanner, Doubleraspberryblastmuffin
For instructions
For videos try School Tube or Teacher Tube or here's some other alternatives.
For photos look at American Memory (Library of Congress)
